THE LAST FARM NOMINATED FOR THE OSCARS


The Icelandic short film The Last Farm, written and directed by Runar Runarsson, has been nominated for the Oscar awards as the best live action short film.
The Last Farm, which is produced by Skuli Malmquist and Thorir Snaer Sigurjonsson of ZikZak Filmworks, has travelled to many festivals in the past year and received various prizes and awards.
The film tells the story of an old farmer, played by Jon Sigurbjornsson, who lives with his wife in a remote valley where all the farms except one has been abandoned.

Runar Runarsson is currently studying at The Danish Filmschool in Copenhagen.
