Last farm wins the Huesca International Short Film Festival


SIDASTI BAERINN(Last Farm) wins the DANZANTE AWARD
The short film directed by the Icelandic filmmaker Runar Runarsson has been awarded the prize ‘Danzante’ at the International Short Film Contest of Huesca Film Festival. An award endowed with 9000 Euros and which means an initial selection for Oscars, the awards given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood. The awards will be presented tonight, during the closing ceremony of this 33rd edition, which will be presented by the actresses Llum Barrera and Melani Olivares

For its part, the jury of the critics –made up of Geoff Pingree, David del Rio and Toni Vall– has given the Award ‘José Manuel Porquet’ of the critics to the Belgian short film ROMANCE directed by Douglas Boswell. It has also given two special mentions for MEDIANERAS (the winner of the Prize ‘Cacho Pallero’ at Iberoamerican Contest), a film made by the director from Buenos Aires Gustavo Taretto, and to the winner of ‘Danzante’ prize, SIDASTI BAERINN.
