The Last Farm in Melbourne
The Melbourne Film Festival takes place between the 26th of July to the 13th of August. Showcasing the cream of the crop from over 1000 entries, MIFF shorts encompasses everything from fiction to documentary to experimental to animation. Around 100 selected films will be screened in what has become Australia’s premiere competition for local and international short films, offering the richest cash prize pool ($35,000). High on quality, MIFF shorts has gained industry kudos for championing the short film as an art form in its own right.
